TeliaSonera announces SEK 10 billion share repurchase programme
TeliaSonera has resolved to repurchase up to approximately 3,6 percent of the outstanding shares through a repurchase offer directed to TeliaSonera’s shareholders valued at approximately SEK 10 billion. The resolution was passed by the Board of Directors of TeliaSonera based on the authorization granted by the Annual General Meeting 2010.
TeliaSonera is a provider of network access and telecommunications in the Nordic and Baltic countries, in the emerging markets of Eurasia, including Russia and Turkey, and in Spain. In 2010, TeliaSonera’s sales amounted to SEK 107 billion. TeliaSonera is listed on the NASDAQ OMX Stockholm and NASDAQ OMX Helsinki stock exchanges.
