Sveaskog and Smurfit Kappa sign supply agreement

Sveaskog and Smurfit Kappa have entered into an agreement whereby Sveaskog will deliver about 2 million cubic meters of pulpwood to the Smurfit Kappa plant in Piteå, Sweden. The agreement is worth more than SEK 1 billion annually.

Sveaskog is Sweden's largest forest owner and leading supplier of timber, pulpwood and biofuel. The company has an annual turnover of over SEK 6 billion and approximately 720 employees. Smurfit Kappa is Europe’s leading producer of kraft liner for paper based packaging and one of Piteås largest employers.

Sveaskog was advised by Mannheimer Swartling, with Martin Pekkari handling the assignment.
