Offside Press signs publishing agreement with Martin Schibbye and Johan Persson
Offside Press AB has entered into an agreement with the Swedish freelance journalist Martin Schibbye and the Swedish freelance photographer Johan Persson, who were detained, imprisoned for fourteen months and subsequently pardoned while carrying out a journalistic assignment in Ethiopia in 2011.
The agreement includes publishing a book about their experiences that is to be released in Swedish during the spring/summer of 2013 as well as support in relation to publication of their story in other languages and in other media, such as film and TV.
Offside Press is an independent publishing company with headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden. The company publishes Sweden’s fastest growing magazine, “Filter”, and Sweden’s largest football magazine, “Offside”.
Offside Press was advised by Mannheimer Swartling in the matter, with partner Stefan Widmark and associate Karin Dahlqvist handling the assignment.
