Norrporten enters into lease agreement with Hanjin Shipping in Hamburg
Norrporten Sandtorpark GmbH has agreed to lease over 4,600 square meters of the “International Coffee Plaza” office property in HafenCity in Hamburg to Hanjin Shipping Europe GmbH. Hanjin is a logistics company based in South Korea, with approximately 6,000 employees in more than 60 countries, and a fleet of more than 200 container ships. Hanjin’s operations include container logistics and transport, terminal operations, and cargo vessel management and reparations.
Norrporten Sandtorpark GmbH is one of Sweden-based Norrporten’s German subsidiaries. Norrporten has during the past several years acquired four office buildings with approximately 32,000 square meters in the central part of HafenCity around Sandtorpark.
Norrporten was advised by Mannheimer Swartling’s team in Germany in the negotiations. The firm’s team was led by Thilo Schulz (Berlin) and Alexander Foerster (Frankfurt) was the partner responsible for the matter.
