Nefab has acquired Chick Packaging

Nefab has acquired Chick Packaging. Nefab, majority-held by Nordic Capital and headquartered in Sweden, delivers complete packaging solutions to international industrial groups within the telecom, electronics, automotive, energy, medical and machinery industries.

Chick Companies, the North American leader in industrial packaging solutions and services, is headquartered in Texas and has annual turnover of approximately SEK 600 million and over 600 employees at 17 locations throughout the US and one in Germany.

Upon completion of the acquisition, Nefab expands its business in North America from 10 to 25 per cent of the total business. The new organization will have more than 40 manufacturing sites in America, Europe and Asia, and approximately 2,900 employees.

Nefab was advised by Mannheimer Swartling on the transaction. The firm's team was led by Ulf Ohrling, primarily assisted by Hampus Thofte and also by Maria Tufvesson Shuck (New York) and Jennifer Yung (Hong Kong). Oliver Cleblad and Nelli Schiebeler (Frankfurt) advised on legal issues concerning the German operations and Jürgen Busch and Meike Johnsen (Berlin) handled acquisition control issues in Germany.
