Munters agrees to divest division MCS to Triton

Munters has agreed to divest division MCS, a global leader in water and fire restoration services to Triton, a private equity firm focusing on business services investments in the Nordic and German-speaking regions. The value of the transaction is approximately SEK 1.3 billion.

Munters, a global leader in energy efficient air treatment solutions and restoration services, has manufacturing and sales operations in more than 30 countries. The Group has around 4,000 employees and net sales of approximately SEK 6.5 billion. The Group’s share is listed on NASDAQ OMX Stockholm. Division MCS had net sales of SEK 2.8 billion and 1,805 employees in 18 countries during 2009.

Munters is being advised by Mannheimer Swartling on the matter. The firm’s team is led by Johan Lekholm and includes Jan Holmius and Isabella Ramsay, assisted primarily by Christian Hallberg, Mikael Moreira and Jenny Keisu. Henric Diefke and Sofia Karlsson are advising on employment law matters and Stefan Perván Lindeborg on competition law matters.
