Munters acquires air treatment business in south China
Munters AB, owned by Nordic Capital, has acquired an air cooling and air treatment equipment business in Dongguan (Guangdong Province). The acquisition is aimed at facilitating the Group’s expansion in the Chinese market. The business was acquired from Dongguan Keda Electrical & Mechanical Equipments Co., Ltd, a Chinese private company and the parties will for a period run the business together.
Keda develops and produces evaporative air cooling and air treatment equipment, both for industrial and commercial use. Keda has more than 400 employees in China.
Munters AB is a globally leading supplier of energy efficient solutions for air treatment and damage restoration based on its expertise in technologies for humidity and climate control technologies.
Munters AB was advised by Mannheimer Swartling on the transaction. The firm’s team in China was led by Ulf Ohrling, primarily assisted by Queenie Chen, Catherine Wang and Chris Yu.
