Mannheimer Swartling partner Nils Eliasson appointed to the CIETAC Panel of Arbitrators
Mannheimer Swartling partner Nils Eliasson has been listed on the Panel of Arbitrators of China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC). CIETAC, with its headquarters in Beijing, is the largest Chinese arbitration commission. CIETAC also has sub-commissions in Shenzhen, Shanghai, Tianjin and Chongqing as well as a branch office in Hong Kong, CIETAC Hong Kong Arbitration Center. CIETAC registered 1,043 new arbitration cases in 2013.
Based in Hong Kong, Nils Eliasson heads Mannheimer Swartling’s Dispute Resolution practice in Asia and specializes in international commercial arbitration and investment treaty arbitration. Nils primarily acts as counsel in arbitration proceedings in Hong Kong and Singapore as well as in arbitrations in Europe involving parties from the Asia-Pacific. He also sits as an arbitrator and is a Council Member of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC). Nils holds a PhD in Law from the University of Lund and has written many articles on international arbitration and investment arbitration. He is a frequent speaker and guest lecturer on international arbitration and international investment law at international arbitration conferences and universities in Hong Kong and Sweden.
