Mannheimer Swartling named Sweden Legal Adviser of the Year in FT/mergermarket European M&A Awards 2013
Mannheimer Swartling is pleased to announce it was named Sweden Legal Adviser of the Year in the FT/mergermarket European M&A Awards 2013.
“We are very proud to receive this award. In what has been a challenging environment for M&A, we thank our clients for the trust they place in us,” comments Biörn Riese, chairman of the board and head of Global M&A at Mannheimer Swartling.
Mannheimer Swartling was named Sweden Legal Adviser of the Year at the seventh annual European M&A Awards 2013. The award is based on M&A transaction data from mergermarket.com and the strategic nature, complexity and innovative level of these transactions. The review is conducted by a panel of experts including leading European M&A practitioners, analysts from mergermarket, and correspondents from the Financial Times. Mannheimer Swartling was the recipient of the “Nordic Legal Adviser of the Year” award in 2009, 2011 and 2012. In 2013, the Nordic region category was divided into individual countries and Mannheimer Swartling is thus the first to win “Sweden Legal Adviser of the Year”.
“We have seen some signs that 2014 could be an active year for M&A; there are more discussions underway, preparations are being made and there is pent-up demand in various segments of the market. We are privileged to have a truly deep bench in our transactions team so that we are able to execute effectively on some of the most challenging mandates at a time when the market can shift very quickly,” continues Biörn Riese.
