Mannheimer Swartling advising Hemtex board in connection with ICA Group’s public takeover offer
The Board of Hemtex has issued a statement on 28 August 2015 unanimously recommending shareholders in Hemtex to accept ICA Group’s public takeover offer. The total value of the offer announced on 25 August 2015 amounts to approximately SEK 719 million.
Hemtex is the Nordic region’s leading home textile chain with stores in Sweden, Finland and Estonia. Hemtex Group’s annual sales in 2014 amounted to a total of SEK 1.041 billion. The company is listed on Nasdaq Stockholm since 2005 and the principal owner is ICA Group with 68.5 percent of the share capital.
The Board of Hemtex has retained Mannheimer Swartling as legal advisor with regard to the offer. The firm’s team consists of Patrik Marcelius and Mirka Ylinen Gorne.
