Litorina acquires ECO-Boråstapeter
Litorina Kapital has acquired ECO-Boråstapeter. The acquisition was completed in two stages via an agreement with shareholders owning 43.3% of the company in June and an offer directed to the remaining shareholders in July. The consideration included cash and/or shares and promissory notes in the acquiring company. Litorina becomes the new majority owner of the company, with approximately two-thirds of the shares, while the rest of the company is owned by a number of previous shareholders, the board and senior management. The value of the transaction is approximately SEK 850 million.
ECO-Boråstapeter is the leading manufacturer of wallpaper in the Nordic region, with market leadership in Norway and Sweden. The company has an annual turnover of approximately SEK 550 million and 165 employees. Litorina Kapital is a Swedish private equity firm that acquires and develops mid-market Nordic companies. The firm has twelve holdings in its portfolio and SEK 2.3 billion under management.
