Kistefos divests its stake in Trans Viking and becomes majority owner of TransAtlantic

Kistefos divests its shares in the companies included in Trans Viking to Rederi AB TransAtlantic. Trans Viking is a joint venture within the business area Offshore/Icebreaking, which up until now has been owned in equal shares by Kistefos (through its subsidiary Viking Supply Ships AS) and TransAtlantic. Payment will be made with newly issued class A and B shares in TransAtlantic. Through the transaction, Kistefos becomes majority owner with just above 50 per cent of the votes and the capital in TransAtlantic.

Kistefos is a Norwegian investment company with a range of investments within offshore, shipping, finance, IT/telecom and real estate.

Kistefos has been advised by Mannheimer Swartling in the transaction. Åke Kjellson and Thomas Wallinder are responsible for the matter, with Nils Nostell and Emil Boström as project managers.
