KF awards application management and BPO contracts to Accenture

KF – The Swedish Cooperative Union – has awarded Accenture a five-year contract for application management services and a six-year contract for business process outsourcing (BPO). The services will be off-shored and delivered through Accenture’s Global Delivery Network with primary delivery from Accenture’s location in India.

The application management services agreement covers management of the existing IT applications, legacy mainframe applications and websites of Coop, KF’s grocery retail business unit. The contract covers the applications used by all of Coop’s key business and operational areas. The BPO agreement awarded by KF Shared Services AB provides the KF Group and its subsidiaries with finance and accounting services.

KF - The Swedish Cooperative Union, is a federation of 47 consumer cooperative societies in Sweden, with over 3 million individual members, and a grocery retail trade constituting its core business.

KF was advised by Mannheimer Swartling. Martin Pekkari handled the assignments, primarily assisted by Cecilia Malmberg and Michaela Nilsson.
