Investor AB core investment Mölnlycke Health Care completes refinancing

On 17 September 2013 Mölnlycke Holding AB completed the refinancing of its 2007 leveraged senior and mezzanine debt facilities. For this purpose the Company used the proceeds from Investor’s increased equity investment and by drawing under a Swedish law governed Euro 1.1 billion unsecured facilities agreement which Mölnlycke Holding AB signed on 17 July 2013 with a syndicate of Nordic and international banks.

This deal acts as a useful reminder that for the right clients the Scandinavian and international banking community is prepared to lend these amounts under Swedish law as opposed to taking the deal to the London market.

Mölnlycke Health Care is one of the world's leading providers of single-use surgical and wound care products and services to the health care sector. The group is one of Investor’s core investments.

Investor is the leading owner of Nordic-based international companies, founded by the Wallenberg family a hundred years ago.

Investor AB and the Mölnlycke Health Care Group were advised by Mannheimer Swartling. Thomas Pettersson headed up the firm’s team which included David Tayler, Karin Stattin and Daniel Khayyami.
