Hemsö acquires nursing home in Germany

Hemsö has acquired an elderly care home in Offenbach am Main near Frankfurt for SEK 127 million from a local property developer. The home has a long established operator with a remaining lease of 25 years.

Hemsö is a property company that owns, manages and develops buildings for community services in Sweden and Germany. Hemsö’s property portfolio in Germany, managed from the company’s office in Berlin, comprises 18 elderly care homes. As on 18 June 2013, the Hemsö group is owned by The Third Swedish National Pension Fund (85%) and Sagax (15%).

Hemsö was advised by Mannheimer Swartling in the transaction. The firm’s team in Berlin handled the matter led by Dr. Maria Wolleh and Thilo Schulz.
