Hemsö acquires community service properties from Region Gotland and GotlandsHem
Hemsö has acquired 14 community service properties on Gotland for SEK 456 million; four from Region Gotland and ten from GotlandsHem. The properties have a total leasable area of 35,500 square meters and Region Gotland will be the primary tenant. The transaction is subject to approval of the Regional Council and the board of GotlandsHem.
Hemsö is a property company that owns, manages and develops buildings for community services in Sweden and Germany. Hemsö owns a total of 350 community service properties in Sweden. The Swedish properties are grouped into five segments based on the operations Hemsö’s tenants pursue on the premises; Elderly Care, Education, Health Care and Judicial premises. Hemsö also owns properties in Germany that consist solely of elderly care homes. As on 18 June 2013, the Hemsö group is owned by The Third Swedish National Pension Fund (85%) and Sagax (15%).
