Green Cargo sells third-party logistics to PostNord
Green Cargo has agreed to divest Green Cargo Logistics, including the associated buildings and real property, to PostNord.
Green Cargo Logistics is Sweden’s second largest company within third-party logistics, with a total storage space of 260,000 square metres in modern logistics centres. The company had net sales of approximately SEK 1 billion in 2011. The acquisition is conditional upon approval from the competition authority. Green Cargo, a transport and logistics company with railway cargo transport as a base, is owned by the Swedish government and has approximately 2, 800 employees and an annual turnover of approx. SEK 6.4 billion.
Green Cargo was advised by Mannheimer Swartling in the transaction. The firm’s team included partners Tom Wehtje and Tomas Johansson, and associates Sophie Ahlberg, Henrik Dock, Jon Rastad, Julia Nilsson and Peter von Salomé.
