E.ON Sverige divests its subsidiary E.ON ES to Altor

E.ON Sverige and Altor Fund III have entered into an agreement according to which Altor acquires 90.5 per cent of E.ON’s subsidiary E.ON ES and thereby becomes new principal owner.

E.ON ES is an engineering and contracting company within energy production, distribution and within industrial and public sectors. ES has annual sales of nearly SEK 3 billion and about 1,500 employees working out of 60 locations in Sweden and Norway. E.ON Sverige is a subsidiary of E.ON AG, one of the world’s largest investor-owned power and gas companies.

The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close during the second quarter.

E.ON Sverige was advised by Mannheimer Swartling in the transaction. Hans Petersson led the firm’s team and was primarily assisted by Fredrik Livendahl. In addition, among others, Jan Kansmark, Anders Ingvarsson and Madeleine Claesson (contracting matters) and Johan Carle (competition matters) were involved.
