E.ON completes divestment of district heating power plants to Solør
E.ON has completed the divestment of 26 district heating power plants located throughout Sweden to Solør Bioenergi, a Norwegian industrial group specialized in wood-based bioenergy.
E.ON is major investor-owned energy supplier with facilities across Europe, Russia, and North America, approximately 62,000 employees and sales in 2013 of approximately EUR 122.5 billion. Group headquarters are located in Düsseldorf, Germany and E.ON shares are traded on the German stock exchange and in the United States via American Depositary Receipts (ADR). E.ON’s business operations in the Nordic region cover the entire value chain for electricity, gas, and heat and its regional headquarters are located in Malmö, Sweden.
E.ON was advised by Mannheimer Swartling in the transaction. The firm’s team was led by Hans Petersson, primarily assisted by Rickard Carrick, Philip Herrström and Anna Bryngelsson.
