DONG Energy divests stake in Kraftgården for SEK 5.2 billion
DONG Energy has divested its ca. 26% stake in Swedish hydro power company Kraftgården for SEK 5.2 billion to Voimapiha AB, a consortium consisting of three Finnish energy companies.
DONG Energy is one of the leading energy groups in Northern Europe. The group, headquartered in Denmark and majority owned by the Danish State, has nearly 7,000 employees and generated DKK 67 billion in revenue in 2012.
DONG Energy was advised by Mannheimer Swartling in the transaction. The firm’s team was led by Hans Petersson, primarily assisted by Pontus Malmunger, Aleksander Ivarsson and Lisa Björk, and also included Caroline Nilsson and Martin Ågren (M&A), Anders Erasmie (Tax), Jens Agö (Competition), and Per Molander, Siri Strömberg and Kim Fors (Environment).
