Deutsche Bahn secures two assignments and enters Swedish railway market
Mannheimer Swartling has advised Deutsche Bahn subsidiary DB Regio in connection with public tenders to deliver railway operations and maintenance services for the Östgötapendeln and Norrtågstrafiken railway lines in Sweden.
Traffic-start on the Östgötapendeln assignment is December 2010 and the initial contract period is 10 years, with an expected volume of approximately 4 million train-kilometers per year. Traffic-start on the Norrtågstrafiken assignment is August 2010, with DB Regio and SJ sharing responsibility via Botniatåg, a jointly-owned company. The initial contract period is six years, with an expected volume of approximately 4,7 million train kilometres per year.
