Betaworks Studio and Three Point Group acquire stakes in Bloglovin’
US-based Betaworks Studio and Three Point Group have invested in Bloglovin’ by acquiring Nyheter 24’s stake in the company.
Bloglovin is a Stockholm-based company initially launched in 2007 as Bloggkoll. Today about 1.4 million members worldwide use the site to follow blogs in a range of areas, from fashion and food to photography and interior design.
New York-based Internet and new media company Betaworks Studio has invested in and developed internet companies such as Tumblr, OMGPOP (Draw Something), Path, Kickstarter, Tweetdeck, GroupMe and other leading consumer focused Webb and mobile service providers.
Three Point Group is owned by Bruce Jaffe, a Seattle-based angel investor and former executive at Microsoft Corporation and CFO at Glam Media.
Betaworks and Three Point Group were advised by Mannheimer Swartling in the transaction. The firm’s team included partner Martin Nilsson and associates Johan Frost Bergman and Fredrik Lundegårdh.
