Alipes’ Barnas Hus Nordic divests Swedish subsidiary Barnens Hus
Barnas Hus Nordic AS has divested Swedish baby- and children goods chain “Barnens Hus” to store concept franchisees in Sweden.
The “Barnens Hus” business comprises 15 wholly owned stores in Sweden and an extensive franchise organisation. Barnas Hus Nordic, which is controlled by Inter IKEA’s and IKANO’s private equity company Alipes, will retain the Norwegian store chain, “Barnas Hus”.
Barnas Hus Nordic was advised by Advokatfirmaet Wiersholm and Mannheimer Swartling on Norwegian and Swedish law, respectively, in the transaction. Mannheimer Swartling’s team included partner Martin Ericsson, primarily assisted by Caroline Karlsson, Patrik Lilieblad, Adam Erdling and Elin Leffler. Partner Stefan Widmark, primarily assisted by Vilhelm Mann, was responsible for intellectual property rights issues and, Lukas Dahlén was responsible for financing issues.
