ABB acquires Jokab Safety International
Mannheimer Swartling has advised ABB in connection with its acquisition of Jokab Safety International AB.
Jokab Safety develops and offers innovative products and solutions for machine safety. Jokab Safety had a turnover of approximately SEK 240 million in 2008 and the company has about 120 employees in Sweden, the USA, Canada, Italy, France and the UK. Jokab Safety will become part of the ABB unit Cewe-Control which is part of the Low Voltage Products division within ABB. Closing is planned to take place in March 2010.
Andreas Elving led the project, primarily assisted by Tobias Bergström and Queenie Chen from the firm's Shanghai office was primarily responsible for the Chinese issues. Adam Green was the partner in charge.
