Mannheimer Swartling has advised Ratos in connection with its acquisition of approximately 25% of the shares in Inwido Finland Oy from Timo Vannas. The purchase price amounting to EUR 8.7 million was paid through a directed issue of new Ratos B shares. Subsequent to the acquisition, Ratos will sell all the shares acquired in Inwido Finland Oy to Inwido AB.
Ratos is a private equity company listed on NASDAQ OMX. Inwido, a leading Swedish window and exterior door manufacturer, was acquired by Ratos in 2004. Through 30 add-on acquisitions, the company has subsequently acquired a strong market position in Finland, Denmark and Norway. Operations are also conducted in the UK, Ireland, Poland and Russia. The Inwido group had revenues in 2008 of approximately SEK 5.6 billion and 3,430 employees.
