Stockholm County Council (SCC) has appointed Mannheimer Swartling as legal counsel for the project concerning the procurement of the New Karolinska in Solna.
SCC has decided to build a completely new and state-of-the-art university hospital of absolute world class in the Karolinska Hospital area in Solna. The project is to be carried out in the form of a public-private partnership (PPP). The intention is that the private sector shall be responsible for the design, construction, operation and maintenance as well as the financing of the new hospital. The investment is estimated to amount to SEK 14.1 billion, calculated using the 2007 monetary value.
