Ratos AB's subsidiary Arcus-Gruppen AS has been assisted by Mannheimer Swartling in concluding an agreement with Pernod Ricard (Vin & Sprit) to acquire the operations and brands Grönstedts Cognac, Star Gin, Red Port and Dry Anis. The four brands are market leaders in their respective product areas. The Arcus group is Norway's leading wine and spirits supplier. The acquisition is subject to approval from the relevant competition authorities as well as the approval from the European Commission.
The responsible partner was Lars Kongstad, who was assisted by Lucas Jonsson, as well as Hans Abrahamsson, Aron Skogman and Maria Westerlund regarding due diligence. Stefan Perván Lindeborg, Jürgen Busch and Meike Johnsen assisted in Competition Law matters in the transaction.
