Our German Dispute Resolution Practise comprises the conduct of domestic and international litigation and arbitration proceedings. The subject matter of the disputes mainly concerns post M&A, banking and finance, energy, environmental law, real estate, construction and investment disputes as well as international sales of goods, intellectual property rights and corporate and commercial law.
Members of our German Dispute Resolution Group have acted as arbitrators, counsel and secretary in ad hoc arbitration proceedings as well as institutional arbitration proceedings under the rules of the German Institution of Arbitration (DIS), the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC), the Court of International Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the International Arbitral Centre of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (VIAC - Vienna Rules), the Swiss Chambers of Commerce (Swiss Rules), the Arbitration Rules of the International Center of the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) and that Center’s Additional Facility Rules.
The firm’s German Dispute Resolution Group has also been engaged in numerous cases regarding the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards as well as the formulation of complex dispute resolution agreements.
Members of our German Dispute Resolution Group also give lectures on international dispute resolution at the Institute for Law and Finance of the Goethe University of Frankfurt, the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences as well as the Humboldt Uni-versity Berlin and keep further fruitful relations with academia by sponsoring and co-organizing seminars and other events in the field of international dispute resolution.
