Mannheimer Swartling has a long tradition of participating in legal developments in the community and therefore it is natural that the firm should also work toward the development of a sustainable and healthy environment, for both current and future generations.
Mannheimer Swartling developed a new environmental policy and conducted its first environmental audit in 2009, which led to the firm receiving “Stockholms Stads Miljödiplom”, the Stockholm city environmental diploma.
While an active environmental programme is required for the firm’s environmental management system to receive formal approval, our view is that an environmental programme entails much more than just adhering to current laws and regulations. We must consider how we lead our lives at home and at work, and through continuous education, we must constantly try to make improvements and reduce our negative impact on the environment. We monitor energy consumption, waste management, transportation, and procurement of goods and services, and, in every way possible, we try to use the option that is most favourable for the environment.
